Janna Smith

Janna Smith has served as a classroom teacher, district and building level administrator, and university instructor in five different states throughout her tenure as a public and private school educator. In addition to her work with Pearson/ATI, she currently serves as math specialist/coach at Far Hills Country Day School, a PK-8 independent school in Far Hills, New Jersey.

Janna holds three degrees in curriculum and instruction, with a Masters from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. from Saint Louis University. She has presented at regional and national conferences for ASCD, Learning Forward (NSDC), NCTM, and the Assessment Training Institute. Janna is indebted to the many high-quality teachers with whom she has worked, who provide solid evidence that when assessment for learning practices are implemented, student achievement and motivation are strengthened.
