Jessica Addison

Jessica Addison earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Austin Peay State University with a minor in Secondary Education. Later, she completed her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, also from APSU. While teaching, she was especially interested in empowering her students through the use of formative assessment practices. During her eighth year as a high school teacher she earned National Board Certification in Adolescent and Young Adulthood Mathematics. Currently, Jessica works for the Kentucky Department of Education as a Mathematics Content Specialist where her work revolves around supporting educators as they work to implement the Common Core State Standards-focusing on highly effective teaching, learning and assessment practices and strong leadership structures.

Jessica lives with her husband and two sons on their farm in western Kentucky, where she enjoys cooking, sewing, and the outdoors.
