Katie Martin

Katie Martin has her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and is a curriculum coach in the Hawaii Department of Education. Her experience as an educator includes teaching grades 6-8 and mentoring beginning teachers K-12. Martin's experience includes K-8 professional development in classroom assessment, content standards and both reading comprehension and content area literacy. Her experience is primarily in Title 1 schools with high populations of minority students and students who live in poverty. Her background in restructuring schools, middle level education and teacher development provide teachers and schools with practical tools to improve student motivation and achievement.
