Katrina Slone
Katrina Slone, a regional content specialist for the Kentucky Department of Education, serves as a network facilitator for 19 districts in eastern Kentucky. Katrina earned a BA in elementary education from Alice Lloyd College, a MA in early childhood education from Morehead State University and an EdD in instruction and administration from the University of Kentucky. She spent 23 years as a classroom teacher in grades K-8 for the Knott County School System in Hindman, Kentucky, and has also served as the district science coach.
Although she is not a native of Kentucky, Katrina has lived in Hindman with her husband, who is a native, for 25 years. Prior to that, she was an army brat who never knew where home was. She is the proud aunt of four nephews and one niece.
