Workshop Goal
The primary objective of this workshop is to prepare participants to use assessment information formatively with students in the classroom.
This one-day workshop, featuring Seven Strategies of Assessment for Learning, is designed to deepen understanding of research-based, high-impact formative assessment practices. At the close of the workshop, participants will be ready to use the text in continued study and implementation of these practices.
The workshop will prepare participants to do the following:
- Develop student understanding of the intended learning
- Provide descriptive feedback effectively and efficiently
- Teach students to self-assess and set goals
- Continue the study and application of formative assessment practices with the book Seven Strategies of Assessment for Learning by Jan Chappuis
Target Audience:
K-12 Educators, District Administrators, School Leaders, Staff Development Specialists
